The new Department of Labor overtime rule which affects salaried workers has been blocked by a Federal Judge on Tuesday. The rule was scheduled to go in effect December 1, and would require employers to pay overtime hours to salaried employees who make less than $47,476 per year. Judge Amos Mazzant ruled that the overtime regulation is unlawful and oversteps the authority of the Department of Labor.
